Collection of Free 3D Models
Here are some great places to find free 3D models:
Remix3D Assets
In 2020, Microsoft retired remix3d.com, a website for users to browse, distribute, and download 3D objects. A professor at the Porter-Gaud School was kind enough to store those resources in a Google Drive folder.
Polygone Art | Poly.Pizza
In 2017 Google launched Poly, with the intention to allow creators to easily share and access 3D objects. In their typical fashion they shut down the website. Fortunately, developers in the open source community archived the models. Both websites contain the entire archive, with Poly.Pizza having a more active user-submitted community.
Kenney.nl
What’s a post about free assets if you don’t mention Kenney. He has dedicated much of his work, time, effort, and money to providing over 40k CC0 assets for aspiring game developers.
